Abstract. The article is devoted to the development of technology for the production of spherical aluminum oxide – the carrier of the reforming catalyst with continuous regeneration – namely, the development of the oil molding method. The chronology of changes and the main technological achievements that made it possible to obtain spherical aluminum oxide with specified properties are shown. The synthesis of a carrier with controlled parameters (specific surface area, bulk weight, abrasion resistance, etc.) ensured the successful development of effective catalysts based on it.
