Abstract. The pyrolysis process is a basic process for petrochemistry, allowing to obtain 3/4 of the monomers for subsequent petrochemical synthesis. Taking into account the large volume of potential pyrolysis feedstock (naphtha, gases) at Russian oil refineries, it is proposed to use this resource for the development of petrochemical production based on oil refineries. The main focus is on the development of complex multi-stage chains with the production of medium- and low-tonnage chemical products with a higher marginality compared to basic polymers.
