Abstract. The article considers the method of motor-bench tests of diesel fuels and criteria for assessing their influence on the formation of deposits on engine injectors. The results of laboratory studies of the influence of MFP on the process of oxidation of diesel fuel and, as a consequence, the formation of deposits on injector sprayers are presented. The potential possibility of obtaining correlation dependencies between the motor method of assessment and laboratory tests of the cleaning potential of diesel fuel is predicted.
