Abstract. This review article provides a brief description of the work areas presented in 2025 by participants in the «Carbon Materials» roundtable. The roundtable is regularly held as part of the Russian Petrochemical Forum and the international exhibition «Gas. Oil. Technologies» (Ufa). In 2025, it was called «Sunyaev’s Readings-01.» Participants’ presentations focused on the processing of petroleum residues and the production of carbon-composite materials. The Sunyaev’s Readings aim to consolidate the efforts of representatives from various industries regarding the production and application of petroleum-derived carbon materials. Representatives of interested companies and industry specialists are invited to participate in the «Sunyaev’s Readings-02» roundtable in 2026.
