Abstract. The article presents the complete phase compositions of eight industrial aluminum hydroxides — raw materials for production of catalyst supports of current production in Russia, Ukraine, Germany and China, determined in result of qualitative and quantitative differential thermal analysis data processing. Their fundamental differences are described depending on the conditions of their manufacture — genesis. The textural properties of laboratory Al2O3-supports prepared by extrusion molding of solid pastes and hydrocarbon-ammonia granulation method, obtained on the basis of these hydroxides are exhibited. Correlations between the phase compositions of the initial hydroxides and the structural and strength properties of supports based on them have been ascertained.
